Things I’ve Learned
Some of these are my own concoctions, some I’ve heard somewhere, some time, but don’t remember exactly why, when or how. And some are just rehashed cliches. But all of these are true, and make for a good manual on this invention called life.
- The best things in life are worth waiting for.
- Just because it looks good doesn’t mean it’ll look good on you.
- Things aren’t always how they seem.
- Trust no one. Especially yourself.
- Sometimes, we have to build a bridge of chance for love.
- Friends are the most valuable asset you can ever have.
- Catching sweet rain on your tongue can cure most of what ails you.
- Never envy. It’s never as great as you think.
- Always aspire for greatness. Never settle for mediocrity.
- If all else fails, smile and nod.
- Sometimes, you have to think small to see the bigger picture.
- Every great journey starts with one small step… away from the familiar.
- Personality > Looks
- Your soulmate won’t care what you look like today.
- The greatest things in life come in the most unexpected packages.
- Don’t discount the impossible.
- If you have to ponder upon the morality of an action, don’t do it.
