The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)
I was hesitant to watch this movie. I'm glad I did. The cinematography was beautiful, the acting: superb, and the story... my god, the story... it just pulls you in.

What do you get when you put a crotchety old Korean war vet next to a house of Hmong immigrants? This awesome movie. Seriously though, I hope I'm as awesome as Clint Eastwood's character Walt when I'm old.

I was surprisingly pleased by this little gem. I feel like it's only funny if you dabble in asian culture, but still, as a member of its target audience, I was entertained.

The trailer for this movie was very intriguing; it was mysterious and it made me want to know what the big secret was. I was disappointed to find out in the first 10 minutes of the movie. However, though I knew what the plot was, the movie still drew me in. I still haven't seen a Will Smith movie that I didn't like. Good job.

I have to say this movie surprised me. If you take the assumption this movie makes with a grain of salt, it's actually a clever, action filled thrill ride. Oh yes, and Michelle Monaghan is quite the cutie.

I'm not exactly convinced Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever. He isn't... smooth enough. Yet. But the movie was action-packed and entertaining so whateva.

It's hard to review this movie, because while it was magnificently horrible, I had read the book and was entertained and amused by how they decided to depict certain scenes. No matter how horrible it was, however, I'm sure it brought in enough revenue to warrant the 3 sequels, and goshdarnit, I'll be watching them, no matter how terrible they are.

Entertaining with great music. As with most NYC movies, it was fun spotting all the landmarks, but I guess especially with this movie, since I'm kind of into the whole indie music scene. Also, I'm starting to develop a crush on Kat Dennings.

This movie was actually funnier than the trailer suggested, and that is pretty impressive. Brad Pitt was awesome every time he was on screen. A must see. The Coen Brothers are back.

The idea behind the movie was kind of interesting: ride a Segway at 10mph from Seattle to Boston, but as a piece of cinema, it wasn't so great. I think this movie better documents the hardships of filming an independent movie than the true "face" of America.

18 short films, 21 directors, pure excellence. When I heard they were all about love, I expected some cheesy, romantic shorts (not that this would be a bad thing), but instead was treated to more realistic views on love. While some of the shorts were definite misses, some were fun to watch--even the sad ones.
