For a guy with nothing to do, I seem to be uber busy lately.
Oh where does the time go?
P.S. This weekend I learned how to swing by myself on the swings thanks to the love and support of J, M and J. I can’t believe that’s what I’ve been missing out on all these years.
There I was sitting on the porcelain throne, and for some reason my thoughts drifted back to almost exactly 5 years ago. I tried to remember all the feelings I had as I was packing and leaving for college for the first time. Was I apprehensive? Excited? I don’t really remember.
But what I do happen to remember about that fateful last morning is how a certain someone dropped by (before the sun came up) to help me pack up the last of my stuff and see me off. Just thinking about that warms my heart. You’re awesome dude. Just wanted you to know that.
I’m awesome. Why, you ask? Well, aside from the (well-known) fact that I am generally an awesome person, I just did the most amazing thing in the shower: I got clean.
Just kidding. So there I was, bar of soap in hand, lathering up my back over my shoulder, when the slippery son of a bitch slides out of my hand. As the inevitable panic of a dropped bar of soap slowly set in, I exercised my cat-like reflexes, reached around with my other hand and caught that sly bar of soap behind my back.
Trust me, it was no easy feat. I make it sound easier than it sounds. Please feel free to gasp in wonder and/or awe. However, no applause please, because I probably wouldn’t be able to hear you. Duh.
Even the best fall down sometimes…
But what you do after is what really counts.
P.S. I’m so thankful for you.
I think you are really fit. But, my gosh, don’t you know it? — The Streets
