20 Random Thoughts

Clarence | Musings, Rants, Xanga | Thursday, December 30th, 2004

1. So apparently only about five of your xanganians out there think life is interesting. Or maybe you just hate me and my futile xanger games. Either/or. But I’m just kidding, lol. I’m not really a xanger whore, it’s just a front. Reeally.

2. On the movie scene, Spanglish and Meet the Fockers were uber good / funny. I suggest you check em out. Finally watched Mean Girls since Helen kept on raving about it. It lived up to the hype. I fell asleep during Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events so I can’t give an opinion on it. But I was up the whole night before, so make your own conclusions.

3. Jerry is the most amusing backseat driver in the world. As well as the most emo-driven backseat dj. Heh. We’re gonna emo-fy Al.

4. Chicken feet + Cow Intestintes + Stomach make for a great lunch.

5. Shady conspiracies to hook people up suck. Especially when the plan to foil such conspiracies don’t work.

6. Yesterday was a fun day. Thanks everyone. Jenn, Al, and Jer: you guys are uber biff. That’s right, biff. Biff is the new cool word of cool people everywhere. Feel free to use it, but only if you’re cool.

7. “I thought my voicemail was trying to interact with me.” - Wendy. Thanks Wendy, that made me laugh uncontrollably for a good 5 minutes. I even fell out of the spongebob chair.

8. Boulder Creek is not so good. If it’s a tossup between BC and Outback, I’d go with Outback. Hands down.

9. My eyes cross when I’m blowing up inflatable chairs. Al thinks its amusing.

10. I like thumbs. Especially when they’re inflated.

11. We’re gonna sushi-fy Jenn. Even if it kills us.

12. The other night, I passed out at 11 and woke up at 2 am to find my parents watching anime on my computer. I was flabbergasted. What has happened to the world? And yes, both my parents had work the next day.

13. BOOGA BOOGA! The number13 is considered by some to bring bad luck.

14. I don’t believe that though.

15. “It’s building a bridge of chance for someone you love…” I love that quote. It’s from My Sassy Girl. I love that movie. We need to take risks for love people. Not only is it encouraged, it’s preferred.

16. Humpty dumpty is the most useless rhyme ever. I mean, whats the moral of the story? What are kids supposed to learn from it? “If you’re an egg, don’t sit on a wall.” Great, I’ll be sure to remember that the next time i’m an egg attempting to scale a sprawling edifice. And who ever said humpty dumpty was an egg? Nowhere in the rhyme does it say he was an egg. Thats just bs. Maybe he was just a fat guy who lost his balance. But now he will be forever remembered as an egg. Not so nice.

17. I feel like I’ve matured a lot in the past couple years (except of course when I regress to childhood giddiness in the wee hours of the morning). Thanks to everyone who has contributed to my maturation.

18. I don’t understand why people find it so hard to believe that a girl and a guy can be uber, attached-at-the-hip friends, and not have feelings for each other.

19. It feels awesome to be able to say that for the first time in what seems like forever, I am (almost) completely without any drama of my own. I am now only consumed by the drama of others. This is a good thing.

20. I <3 you all. Especially you. Yes, you. That unlikely you.

Peace, love, and annoyingly long xanga entries,

This Interesting Life

Clarence | Xanga | Monday, December 27th, 2004

…and that’s what makes life interesting.

Fill in the blank.

Love

Clarence | Musings, Xanga | Friday, December 24th, 2004

It’s the holiday season. It’s a time filled with joy, love and being with your families. Sure, for 11 months out of the year, its pretty hard to stand them, but I think that for this one month, we all manage to suck it up and actually feel lucky to be around them. (And this is all I’m going to say about family, because no one in my family reads this anyway.)

I’ve been feeling the uber love lately from everyone. It’s freaking delicious. I was going through my xanger subscriptions this morning, and I saw Eug’s entry to pretty much the whole world, and here was his message to me:

clarence - haha cs and d2x. ‘rooming’ together. waking up at the same time. no matter how much time passes i think im always gonna feel close to you.

Oh damn. That almost brought a tear to my eye.

This whole break, I’ve just felt so loved: Every day I get phone calls from friends asking if I want to hang out (even at 2 in the morning :P), I got a voicemail message from a drunken birthday boy (and his 3-girl entourage), been shopping in one way or another every day with my attached-at-the-hip-buddy (we’re sick), etc. etc. It’s been an awesomely awesome break so far. And it’s only been a week. :P

Thanks guys, I’m so grateful for all of your friendships. From the all-nighter conversations, to the drunk dialing, to the millions of inside jokes, I really love you guys. Thanks.

P.S. My mom just told me I got mail from Christina Park from Tappan, NY. You rock. And now I must go open it. Have a merry holiday everyone!

Peace, love, and double stuffed oreo cookies,

Maturity

Clarence | Rants, Xanga | Tuesday, December 14th, 2004

So when did everyone become so amazingly mature? I mean, sure, life is a continuous process of growth and maturity, but when did everybody start taking things so seriously? What happened to blind faith and throwing caution to the wind? When did everyone become so damn cautious?

Don’t get me wrong. I think its very important that we mature in life. I just had an experience where I had a realization about my feelings and life, and damn, did it make me feel like a grownup. There’s nothing like looking at yourself and thinking, wow, I’m growing up. However, I don’t think that in our quest for maturity, we should completely disregard the simple joy of living life.

I mean sometimes, you just have to forget what your mind is telling you and just follow your heart. Who cares if you end up getting hurt? Didn’t someone famous somewhere say, out of pain comes growth? If not, I said it. So there.

The greatest joys in life come out of taking risks–embarking on a journey where the destination isn’t so clear, risking everything in the name of love, hell, even calling a re-raise with a 10 high. Its risks like these that have the greatest pay-offs. And if you happen to lose a couple times, at least you can say that you lived life and took risks. We only have one chance at this, we might as well make it interesting. So stop being so damn mature and grow up.

By the way, if you think this entry is about you, stop being so conceited. If you think the entry is about me, you’re wrong. This entry is just based on my general observations of life, in general. Vague enough? :D

By the way, today was my 1000th day on xanga. Talk about being a xanga whore :P

We all know what xanger is for, right? Xanger is great because you are able to read your friends’ most innermost thoughts and opinions. Yeah, right. We all know the real reason for xanger: PICTURES! Enjoy.

First of all, I must say that Wendy and Christina are the awesomest. They made this for me. Notice a resemblance to anything? :D

Now here’s what happened today in Ho Plaza.

And so the wrapping begins…

Smile for the camera beeyotch!

You bastards…

Oh well. Might as enjoy myself…

And if you thought that wasn’t enough of a spectacle. Here’s a movie of Mike jumping over the bound Clarence. :P
